The tool accepts PNG, JPEG, and WebP and generates 16, 32, 48, and 180-pixel PNG files. The final size is named apple-touch-icon.png.
Aspect ratio and transparency
Contain keeps the entire image and can leave transparent space; crop fills the square with a centered crop. Canvas exports PNG and preserves transparency from compatible source images.
Why ICO is not generated
This first version does not create favicon.ico because a renamed PNG would not be a valid ICO. The PNG files and HTML snippet work in modern browsers, and each file is downloaded individually.
