How crypto profit is calculated
Total cost adds purchase cost and its fee. Net proceeds subtract the selling fee. Their difference is profit or loss.
Profit = gross proceeds − sell fee − gross cost − buy fee
ROI and break-even
ROI divides profit by total cost. Break-even solves the price whose net proceeds equal cost, correctly accounting for percentage fees.
Break-even = total cost ÷ [quantity × (1 − sell fee)]
